How to paint aluminum castings

1. Before coating the aluminum castings, prepare the surface quality of the metal material wall, which is the key to the adhesion of the architectural coating. The new metal material of the self-made aluminum casting must be cleaned, degreasing and rust removed, and there is a position where the mold is inclined. Be sure to use a fine sand cloth to polish and file assorted. The mold shells that have been applied must also be removed from the original coating.

2. The traditional eradication method is to eradicate manually with steel brush or sandpaper, the output power is low, and the damage of aluminum clip steel casting mold shell is not optimistic. The sandblasting eradication method is to use air compression to blow the quartz sand to the surface of the concave mold.

3. The thermal insulation of the coating lies not only in the thickness of the coating, but also in the porosity of the coating itself. The porosity of the coating is at a very large level affected by the application standards and methods used, because the level of free space in the coating is mostly determined by the volatilization rate of the medium water on the surface of the mold shell. The common application method of architectural coatings for aluminum castings is spray paint, but sometimes paint is applied, such as in the pouring system software and riser area. According to the difference between the viscosity of automatic spraying equipment and architectural coatings, the spraying temperature is still slightly higher.

The spray painting process of aluminum castings has an important practical effect on the appearance of the castings. The purpose of spray painting is mainly to better maintain the castings. Pay attention to the control of spray paint temperature and learn to apply appropriate methods to spray paint, which can make the appearance of castings look like new.
